On Saturday, October 5th, the K2 Women Team will face one of their final challenges of the season: the Giro dell’Emilia. Now in its 11th edition, this prestigious race will gather the world’s best cyclists to compete on the demanding San Luca climb, just outside Bologna.
A route between flat roads and challenging climbs
This year’s race will start from Vignola for the first time, covering a total of 113.8 km. The first 100 kilometers are almost entirely flat, but the real battle begins in the final kilometers, when riders will face the San Luca climb twice. This climb is notoriously difficult, with gradients reaching up to 20%.
