The 19-year-old from Parabita wins the regional Miss Italia final in Altamura
Sofia Russo has been crowned Miss Smile Puglia 2024, earning her place as a national semifinalist in Miss Italia. The young woman from Parabita triumphed in the first regional final held in Altamura on July 19.
A memorable event in Altamura
The final took place in Piazza Don Tonino Bello in Altamura, organized by Carmen Martorana Eventi, the interregional exclusive organizer for Miss Italia in Puglia and Basilicata, with the sponsorship of the Municipality of Altamura. The evening was hosted by Christian Binetti, a renowned television presenter, alongside Carlotta Buzzacchino, Miss Eleganza Puglia 2023.
Special guests and significant contributions
The evening featured a speech by lawyer Dario Durso for the Codacons anti-stalking campaign. The special guest was Tommy Terrafino from the Rai 2 show “Made in Sud,” who entertained the audience with his comedy.
Beauty and style at the heart of the event
Contestants from all over Puglia were styled by Marina Charme Parrucchieri of Altamura, in collaboration with Framesi, an Italian multinational in professional hair beauty.
The jury and acknowledgements
The final verdict was delivered by a jury chaired by the Mayor of Altamura, Antonio Petronella, and composed of various distinguished members, including Angela Miglionico, Deputy Mayor of Altamura, Katrin Quaratino, Miss Puglia 2023, and other professionals.
